All bands and artists:
WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE RIVERSIDE FESTIVAL 2012.
The 2012 Riverside Festival will be held on Saturday 7 July, on the meadows in Stamford.
The Festival will run in a similar format to previous years, featuring our main Riverside Stage, the Marquee Stage and the Acoustic/Roots Stage. A busker’s stage will be located near to the bar, but this does not run with a formal line-up.
Applications are currently being taken for the three main stages, but the lists will close at the end of February for this year’s Festival. Please do not submit applications after 29 February.
Once the lists have closed, the applications will be divided into genres relevant to each stage and our three stage committees will assess and shortlist the applications prior to selection committee meetings held in March and early April. The selection committees each consist of at least three people all of whom are closely involved with Riverside, and with at least two on each committee being Members or Trustees of the charity. Following their consideration, those bands or artists selected will be contacted before the end of April 2012, and the final line-ups will be published here after April 2012. If you need an earlier decision, please advise this in your application email.
TO APPLY – Please email info@riversidefestival.co.uk, giving your name, the band name and full contact details, genre of music and provide either a demo CD or link to website or myspace.
CDs and applications can also be posted to: The Riverside Association of Music & Arts Ltd, c/o Rutland House, Minerva Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, PE2 6PZ. Please note that CDs cannot be returned.
The Stamford Mercury is once again running its Road to Riverside competition. Bands submitting an application to this competition may win a slot on one of the three main stages at the Riverside Festival. Members of the public vote for the band they want to see at Riverside, and the most votes will give us a winner. Applications for this competition close on 29 February, and the public will vote until mid March. See their website for details: www.stamfordmercury.co.uk
Other entertainment:
For artists other than musicians, we are happy to hear from any person or group who can provide interesting alternative entertainment for our audience, whether storytelling, comedians, workshop providers (music orientated or otherwise). Our remit covers the Arts in general, so please contact us with any proposals you have, by emailing info@riversidefestival.co.uk
